Join Thomas Harrison for this new course on Creative Non-Fiction! Creative non-fiction approaches are popular because they include diverse structures and voices. From reverse chronologies, blogs, recipes and literary journalism, lyrical or personal essays, historical non-fiction and memoir, Creative Non-Fiction is one of the most dynamic and innovative writing genres today, and one of the best-selling literary categories! Using recent Creative Non-Fiction examples as a guide, this 6-week course includes timed writing exercises, optional writing prompts, and opportunities to share work-in-progress and collaborate with other writers in a friendly and supportive writing environment. Perfect for the new or intermediate Creative Non-Fiction writer, participants will develop short non-fiction works and experiment with new writing forms to create a small portfolio of writing, or to extend works in progress.
