You're Invited to the launch of "HOMAGE: Inspired by Outstanding Canadian Women"
Join us on International Women’s Day for the launch of "Homage", a new exhibit at Wellington Heritage Museum. Experience 41 unique neckpieces created by Donald A. Stuart, each one a tribute to Canadian women, both past and present. Each piece is accompanied by a sketch and biography from curator Susan Benson, RCA. Discover history in a whole new way through the familiar form of the necklace.
Come celebrate with us on Saturday, March 8th, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, as we unveil these beautiful works of art!
Activities to enjoy during this event:
Anice Jewelry will be present on site to create customized stamped pendants as a memorable keepsake! Pendant costs will range from $15-$20. They will also be offering 20% off silver chains to any attendees who wish to head over to their store –310 Main St., just a few doors down — that day.
We’re also thrilled to have @free.range.poetry with us—Karen Palmer will be creating bespoke poems on the spot for guests to enjoy.
We invite you to wear your favorite statement necklace, brooch, watch… whatever suits your fancy! We’ll take a Polaroid snap of you and your friends to capture the moment.
We can’t wait to celebrate Canadian women, both past and present, with you at the launch of this new exhibit!
