Details

Come and have fun making figurative art with artist instructor Julie Seddon! During this 5-week course we will explore a different movement in art history each week including Cubism, Surrealism, Art Nouveau and Symbolism. See how the masters have approached representing a wide range of people in their work and learn about colour and composition as well as special techniques to mimic different art historical styles. We´ll use collage, painting, drawing and basic etching to make art all using people as subjects. Kids will have a chance to work together with a collaborative drawing project and also work independently while learning about Art History and making their own expressive works of art.

For ages 5-8. A sliding scale fee system is in place to ensure accessibility.

Classes will take place from 9:30-10:45 AM on the following Saturday mornings: November 2nd, 16th, 23rd, 30th, and December 7th, 2024. No Class on November 9th.
