There is a strong correlation between convincing drawing and sculpture. In this 6-week drawing course participants will leverage clay-modelling to strengthen their ability to see and build the head with greater accuracy. Working in three dimensions deepens understanding of form—how volume, light, and shadow interact—so we can bring that clarity back into your drawings.

Participants will learn to “draw like a sculptor,” thinking from the inside out: constructing the head through planes and solid forms rather than tracing surface details. The remaining weeks apply these insights directly to portrait drawing through structured exercises and work from the model.

Ideal for beginners or anyone looking to rebuild their fundamentals, this course helps you develop more confident, spatially informed drawings of the face.

Age range – 18+
