Step into the stars with Silent Sky
From acclaimed playwright Lauren Gunderson, Silent Sky tells the inspiring true story of astronomer Henrietta Leavitt and the groundbreaking women of the Harvard Observatory whose discoveries changed how we understand the universe.
At the turn of the 20th century, Henrietta and her colleagues—known as the “women computers”—were charting the stars while fighting for recognition in a field dominated by men. Their work would go on to shape modern astronomy, even as their names were nearly lost to history.
A story of curiosity, ambition, friendship, and the courage to reach beyond what is known, Silent Sky is a moving and uplifting theatrical experience that shines a light on the women who helped us measure the cosmos.
