Join Tom Feiler for another exciting photography course, this time on still life. In this course students learn how to use objects to convey stories, moods, and ideas. Students will learn techniques in lighting, colour vs. monochrome, depth of field control, and background use to add context to their images. Through discussions, exercises, and hands-on projects, students will be encouraged to approach objects thoughtfully, drawing on insights from art history and the history of still-life photography to enhance their compositions.
This course requires students to bring their own Digital SLR Camera. Students should have a general understanding of their camera’s manual functions and are required to bring a tripod.
